Given what we know about the potential risks of toxins in our kids' toys, some of us may want to know what materials are used to make them. I recently contacted a large toy manufacturer, and they said they will not disclose that information to consumers. Companies are required to label foods, why not toys? What are your thoughts on this? Should companies have the to keep that confidential, or do parents have the right to know?

Yes, agree completely, but what do you guys think about companies being required to post the materials they use??
Yes! I agree with KZ! I worry so much about lead and also plastic additives. Babies are so sensitive. We need to know what is in these toys. Babies put these toys in their mouths, touch them, then put their hands in their mouths! Not to mention, their skin absorbs everything!
I think the most concerning toys are infant teething toys. These toys are chewed on, slobbered on, heated up in a hot car, etc. and we really do not know what they are made up. If we are studying heavy metals in foods, we should be just concerned about the other things they put in their mouths.
